Generally, I live a fairly healthy lifestyle. Eating well, working out and prioritizing sleep helps me feel focused, inspired and relaxed. Here are a few healthy habits I’ve incorporated into my day-to-day.
Workout 4-5 times a week
My workouts are a mix of run/walk sessions, pilates, strength training and some yoga. I workout not only for my physical health, but mental health. To me, it’s key for maintaining a positive attitude.
Eat organic fruits & vegetables
*Knock on wood* I haven’t been sick in years, and I attribute that mostly to my eating habits. My diet consists mostly of salads, nutritious bowls, some pasta (obviously) and protein. I try my best to cook so I know exactly what’s going into my food, but sometimes that’s just not realistic so I’ll find somewhere with healthy options. Thankfully, Los Angeles has tons of healthy options, so it’s never really a struggle.
Drink tons of water
Water gives me so much energy and mental clarity. I try and drink a gallon of water per day.
Distant toxic people
Our minds and bodies are so connected, and having toxic people in our lives can have an affect on our health. I make it a point to keep positive, ambitious and supportive around me.
Self-care & sleep
Self-care is something I take very seriously. Whether it’s a massage, acupuncture, facial, binging a Netflix series or just disconnecting from work, I’ll take at least an hour a day, completely for myself. And no matter how busy my day is, I’ll be sure to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep.
